as mentioned, fuzoku and Health Salons are intended only for japanese. For a foreigner to get in…..
walk down the street in any busy tokyo district. shibuya. shinjuku. ginza. ueno. etc….
usually the japanese fuzoku sales men will not approach a foreigner. almost never…..
but the African inhabitants peddling strip clubs often come over and aggressively try to get you ….
Salesman : “Hey man, I got a place where you can really have fun…. “
Gaijin : Sorry, i dont’ think you can get me into the places i’m looking for….
Salesman : What you looking for?
Gaijin : Fuzoku/ Este….
Salesman : No problem, follow me….
Gaijin : …. With strictly japanese. that don’t speak english. (you obviously need to speak japanese for this to work).
Salesman : OH…. that’s a hard one. Why you want that? There’s beautiful….
Gaijin : Don’t worry about why 🙂
Salesman. : Wow… that’s a challenge. Let’s see….
there’s no chance for a foreigner to know this underground scene as well as this Salesman. He may not be japanese… but they often speak japanese, and have local connections… they lead to other japanese salesmen… that could make introductions into these establishments…. thus, once a connection is made, and you show you speak a few words of japanese and know the local rules and customs of fuzoku…. it’s easier to get in.
