it was a slightly rainy day. I wake up casually stretch my arms… look at the clock… its 8*45 am… normally i would be late… but… i am going to an elementary school… so i have until 9am to leave… not bad… 15 min… to brush my teeth… grab a banana… and head out… at least i slept well.9 am… rolls around… i am getting ready to leave… the phone rings. Its the city hall.
“where are you alex!?!??! school started at 8:30! they are waiting for you!!”
oh damn. I changed the time in my head…. again!!! i hate when this happens.

I roll into school about 1 hour late. apologize profusely. and they rush me off. I give them my bags and shoes and everything, and jacket. so i am wearing just socks and a sweater and pants. I forgot to clean my shoes… so i cant wear them. guess where i am going? the gym. where the windows are open. there is no heating… and its 0 degrees celcius! in my socks. nice. to make matters worse. I get there… and the kids have been waiting for me… for an hour. in the cold. God i am a jerk. i feel like such an ass.

They motion for me to get started… okidoki. i am looking at them… i forgot what they asked me to do! damn again. There is a projector… and i dont recognize the kids… so i imagine i must do a self introduction. Allrighty… i can do that. I bust out my laptop… and start showing pictures of my family and romania and all that jazz. the kids look bored. 40 min. into it… the kids dont respond at all. I look around…. finally go to a teacher and ask… ARE THEY OK? THEY ARE SOOO QUIET….

“ummm….” he says nervously “… is this your self introduction? cause this is the second time you have seen these students… so maybe you dont need to do it… ”

NICE!!!! 40 min. into it!!! god i love me today. I can tell today is going to be a sparkling day… not.
