I NEVER knew how expensive vacuum cleaners could be! I mean, I know they can get expensive… expensive vodka can go for $10,000 a bottle if you REALLY look hard.
However, cheap-o vacuum cleaners can run for like $60…. but they also break down … oh in the first hour of use. However, a decent vacuum cleaner here starts around $100…. and those are the simple ones that just suck…. ask for one that works well, sucks, cleans, is powerful… and your looking at around $250 … for a vacuum cleaner. Now… i guess the question becomes who has what priority. I think people who are adament about cleanliness must think this is a small amount… but for me… who is not used to cleaning “much”… its an exorberant amount.
Alas, my apartment has gotten so dusty and dirty, in the past YEAR that i’ve been here… that i absolutely needed a good vacuum. I plunked down $300 for a strong vacuum i could find at Macy’s, and went home to my little studio apartment… and guess what? It cleans really well. I had to empty the bag two times!
At least i can finally start properly cleaning my apartment. Now i’m hoping my next apartment isn’t hardwood. As beautiful as hardwood can be….
