Not much to say here. Title says it all. The 2000 American mediocre (though not bad) movie starring Mel Gibson, (What Women Want) was remade for the China market with Andy Lau and Gong Li. Named, exactly the same, WHAT WOMEN WANT.
Even more fun, the movie follows the same plot, has similar music, and even rips the plot queues right out of America’s version.
Please,China… If your going to copy something…. For the love of all holy…. PLEASE copy something good. America did enough of that stupid crap….copying crappy movies from other countries and making them even worse… Do you REALLY need to follow in their footsteps? At least a) copy a GOOD movie… Or B) copy something from Europe. Or hey, I hear japan makes some really crappy movies, that no one watches…. If you really wanna make some bad investments…..
