Came upon an interesting discovery today….
I’ve always had trouble finding t-shirts that fit me properly… Mainly cause I’m very tall, with long legs, and a medium length torso… Fits well on shoulders, it’s too baggy on the waist…. Perfect on chest… Too snug on shoulders… Etc… Everyone has this problem…in some way or another…
Anyway, there are shirts that have fit me but there was never a pattern I could figure out… They wear nice at first, but when washed… Good lord, who knows. All over the place.
So here it is…. A very simple formula I watched today as I was doing my laundry and keeping a tally of what shirts fit well, and what doesn’t… I started marking the materials and sizes….
Basically,
a shirt 1x LG (60% cotton 40% polyester) = 0.7 x XL (100% cotton PREshrunk)= 0.8 x LG(100% cotton)
So basically, if you want a slim, athletic fit, go for the poly… If you want warm, and comfortable for a larger body type… Go for the cotton…
For me personally, I’m gonna be stickin to poly’s or preshrunk.
Yeah, not a big deal here,.. But it’s been affecting me since I was a kid… 17 years now I’ve been struggling with finding shirts that fit consistently and not just taking a stab in the dark each time. Yeah it varies. But this gets things a bit more manageable….
